Shower Room

This little shower room has no window and is in fact, quite far from any natural light source so it is a rather difficult room to decorate as it relies solely on artificial light. It was a dreary and depressing space so we decided to go big on the design, embracing darker colours with Smashed Avo by Lust Home on the walls and ceiling - but I’m not entirely convinced this is the right shade so that may change in due course. The tiles on the walls are from the Fellini range by Claybrook Studio and I went for two colours - the Bianca and Crema which placed side by side creates a lovely subtle stripe.

Being situated in the centre of the house, this shower room is mainly used as a spare toilet and the children will use the shower. It’s not our main bathroom therefore we didn’t need too much storage space. The room has lovely exposed wooden beams and a wooden door bringing some much needed warmth in to the scheme. I always advise that bathrooms have something vintage and/or wooden as they can otherwise start to feel rather clinical with all the hard surfaces.
